Getting Started

Keen on getting your first site up? Or you are a user that will only manage content and/or add news to an existing site? Then this section is for you!

Three roles when creating a site with CMS Made Simple

CMS Made Simple separates content from layout, or structure from design if you will. This lets the Designer focus on the design and the Editor fill the pages with content. After the site has been designed you can add and edit content without having to touch the actual layout.

The Administrator is managing users, i.e. who has permission to do what. The administrator can also install additional extensions that adds functionality to the site.

In the Getting Started section you can read step-by-step instructions how the editor, the designer and the administrator are accomplishing their basic tasks. On smaller sites the same person may of course have all of these roles. But to make it easy to understand how CMS Made Simple works we have divided the tasks into these three roles.
